Bio

My name is Chelsie Leininger and this will be my eleventh year of teaching. I'm a proud product of Houston County. I graduated from Warner Robins High School in 2009. I obtained a dual degree from Middle Georgia State University in Early Childhood and Special Education. I obtained my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2021 and my Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2022, both from Georgia Southwestern State University.

In 2014, I started teaching at Parkwood Elementary School where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade until the 2021-2022 school year. I was awarded Teacher of the Year during the 2021-2022 school year. I joined Matt Arthur in the 2022 school year and enjoyed my time there. I am so excited to join the first group of Matt Arthur Primary Dragons!

I married my high school sweetheart, Steven. We have two beautiful kids, Stevie and Tucker, as well as our fur baby, Zeus. I enjoy spending time with the people I love and I appreciate the little things. I love spending time with my family, going to the mountains, reading, podcasts, and plants.

My favorite thing about teaching is when I get to witness a light-bulb moment with a child because they finally understand a concept that was challenging for them. I also love seeing when a student develops a sense of pride in their work and becomes determined to embrace all the challenges and mistakes that come with learning. I look forward to a fabulous school year! We are going to have an incredible school year full of growth! Please don't hesitate to contact me! :)
