Bio
I began my teaching career in 2005 after earning my Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education with a concentration in History from SUNY New Paltz in New York. I later completed my Master of Science in Reading at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
Originally from New York, I moved to Virginia after college and have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I’ve also served as a Title I Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist, roles that deepened my passion for literacy and supporting students at all levels.
I’ve been married to my husband, Wes, since 2007. His career in the U.S. Army provided opportunities for me to teach in several different states and gain vaulauble teaching experiences. We have a son, Jake, who is currently in third grade.
I’m thrilled to be part of the Matt Arthur Primary School team and truly look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
